Day Eighty Three...

Had a nightmare day today. I had to stay and work from home for various reasons and took advantage to get my old bike picked up by PArcelforce. This caused a problem due to the fact that my box was too long. I repackaged the bike with the front wheel off to get it under the magic 150cm and then they still rejected it. Apparently they don't accept any parcel which is over 300cm round. Since the longest is 150 this means that they expect parcels with 0cm width. Maybe a big sheet of paper?

So they were a waste of time so I used Interparcel. They were more expensive, but would take the larger parcel. However, they didn't turn up. About 5.30 I checked the details to make sure I didn't make a mistake. The receipt had the address in the wrong order. Whatever system takes the postcode and house number and screwed up my address and the delivery guy would have gone to a neighbours. Bugger.

So now I need to piss around chasing this tomorrow too.

I went to the bowling alley again this weekend. That was fun. I'm not getting any better, but it's good to be out mucking around. I didn't give McDonald's a second look this week.

I'm off to get an early night. I've had a twinge start to appear in my back in recent weeks and I may have aggravated it tonight, so I want to give it a rest. I still need to have a pack before bed, so I'll be up in the night for a pee.

The trials and tribulations of relying on so-called "services"!! I know how annoying it all is.

Hope you have a more relaxing day tomorrow and that your back feels beter mighty quickly.

Hi Guinea

I love your blog; it's so relaxing to read and even as a former vegetarian, I was v.interested to read about the fishing!

Thanks for your comments; if you are happy, I'd like to do something on your blog?

In the meantime, get yourself some psyllium husks!! Don't put it off OR get Dulcolax or something like that. Personally, the husks work for me - in capsules.

Take care and hope you get the post sorted!
